EX200: Intermediate Research Rocketry
Course Description:
This one course is designed for the high power rocketry enthusiast who already manufactures their
own propellant based on given formulas. The concept of this course is to take the Research Rocketry
Enthusiast to the next level. You will learn the fundamentals of effects driven propellants, understanding Kn
and how it applies to your design, understanding the elusive A & N values, erosion, the pros and cons
of using Aerotech
hardware for Research Rocketry vs traditional snap ring motors, concerns for larger motor
designs,
more formulas and manually calculating flight performance.
This is a propellant design course open to US citizens only.
A copy of a current drivers license, NAR / Tripoli membership card, non disclosure agreement
and liability waiver must be signed upon arrival.

1. Lecture / Powerpoint presentation
2. Student workbook / manual
You should already have Dr. McCreary's Book, "Experimental Composite Propellant", available on this site.
Prerequisite: Proof of completion of any of these courses:
Mostly Missiles
Thunderflame
Loki Research
CP Technologies
RCS
ARR's EX100 class.
OR show a consummate level of prior EX experience.
